| Details: | Dear parents: For the next few weeks, I will be offering our Olympic Club to the grade 5 students. Starting tomorrow at 8 a.m. and every Tuesday and Thursday until the end of the term, I will tell the students stories drawn from the ancient and modern Olympic Games. These short sessions are intended to be a primer on the Olympics and will introduce the students to its symbols and traditions. In term 2, the students will be able to choose Olympic activities (art, drama, model making, etc) that will be based on the theme for this year's Olympic Club: Sustainability. I will send out details for term 2 upon our return to school in January. Please reassure your son / daughter that if they miss some of these sessions, or if they are late, this will not restrict further participation. Yours sincerely, Gary Barber |
