Details: | Stuffy Club is ready for a new year! This year all the children in the club will make their very own MONSTER. You can make a stuffy, a glove monster, a hand puppet or even a finger puppet. Details for the Stuffy Club Who: Children from Grades 1, 2, and 3 What: Design and make a Monster Stuffy from start to completion Where: Ms. Porteous’ classroom How many: Space is very limited and on a first come first serve basis. Parents are welcome to volunteer to help. If we have parent volunteers available, more students will be permitted to attend. Students on the waitlist will be invited to join throughout the term, as the original participants gain more independence in threading needles, knotting ends, etc. Bring: Please bring to class your own “sewing kit”, if you have one (we have shared supplies for those who don’t). This may include children’s sewing scissors, needles, pins and thread. If you have a specific project in mind or you have extra fleece or felt at home, you are welcome to bring it to class to use or share. Bring a glove if the “Glove Monster” interests you! Cost: $10 Times: 3:25 – 4:15 every Monday starting January 22th – March 5 (no class on Family Day). If you are interested in the Stuffy Club, please email Delina at delina.squire@smus.ca with the following information: 1. Is your child an absolute beginner/has some experience/fairly independent? 2. Are you willing to be a parent volunteer? Thanks! |
