| Details: | The Swimming Club for students in Grades 4 and 5 will start on Thursday, January 11th, 2018. Any student who can confidently swim at least 25m is invited to join us at the Oak Bay Pool. Practices will begin at 3:45 p.m. and will conclude by 4:30 p.m. A school bus will transport students to the pool, but swimmers will need to be collected by a parent or guardian from the Oak Bay Recreation Centre. Please note that students are not allowed into the changing rooms or pool area unless they are supervised by a SMUS teacher (Gary Barber, Marcelle Kitengie, Haley Francois,). There is no fee for participating in this club; however, Oak Bay Recreation Centre does not allow gym bags to be stored on the pool deck so please provide your child with 50 cents for a locker. The subsequent practice dates will be on Thursdays January 18th, 25th, February 1st, 15th, 22nd, March 1st. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Gary Barber. |
